I grew up on the western slope of Colorado which was a beautiful, wonderful place to live and play. It’s also where my eating disorder developed and flourished until I sought treatment years later during college in Denver.
When I left Grand Junction for grad school, my plan was to come back and open a private practice treating eating disorders. But as we know plans change and many years later, Denver is my home and I love living on the front range with my family.
Denver is also where I built my practice, pursuing my passion of treating eating disorders, and one of my values is access to care. I know what it’s like to not be able to afford therapy which is one of the reasons I accept insurance in my practice. I also know what it’s like to not be able to find the support you need in your home town which is why I’m so excited our team can now provide online counseling support via telehealth in the state of Colorado!
At Embrace Strength Counseling, we still believe in-person counseling is the ideal platform for therapeutic work but we also understand there are times and situations where meeting in person isn’t possible. Telehealth allows us to offer long distance support to people throughout the state of Colorado when it makes sense.
Telehealth is a secure, HIPPA compliant video conferencing tool. This means no matter where you live in Colorado, we are here to support you.
All you need to join an online therapy session is:
- a computer, tablet, or phone (no applications or software to download)
- a webcam (integrated or external)
- a microphone (integrated or external)
- an internet connection
If you’re interested in telehealth counseling, please reach out! We’d be happy to tell you more and see if it’s a good fit for you!
